So here’s the thing—you’ve been meaning to get a website for your business. It’s been on your mental to-do list for… how long now? Six months? A year? Maybe longer?
Don’t worry, you’re in good company. I talk to business owners all the time who are in the exact same spot.
Why Most Business Owners Put This Off
Let me guess a few reasons why it hasn’t happened yet:
Technology feels like learning a foreign language. You’ve got a business to run, and honestly, the whole website thing just feels like a lot. Plus, you’ve been doing okay without one, right? Your customers find you through word-of-mouth, or they already know where you are.
And hey, maybe that’s been working fine.
But Here’s What I’ve Noticed
The thing is, even your loyal customers are probably Googling you at some point. Maybe they’re checking your hours before they drive over. Maybe they want to see what services you offer before they call. Or maybe they just want to make sure you’re still in business.
And when there’s nothing there? It’s just… awkward. Not a dealbreaker necessarily, but it doesn’t feel great either.
Think about the last time you looked up a business and couldn’t find a website. What went through your head? Probably something like, “Hmm, are they still around?” or “I guess I’ll just call… if I can find the number.”

The “I’m Not Tech-Savvy” Thing
Yeah, join the club. Most business owners aren’t, and that’s totally fine.
You’re good at what you do—whether that’s coaching, fixing things, making things, or helping people. That’s your zone. The tech stuff? That doesn’t have to be your zone.
It’s like… I wouldn’t try to do my own electrical work just because I own a house, you know? Same concept.
What You Actually Need (Probably Less Than You Think)
Most small businesses don’t need some fancy, complicated website with all the bells and whistles. Honestly, sometimes the simple stuff works better anyway.
Usually, you just need:
- A place where people can find your basic info (what you do, where you are, how to reach you)
- Something that looks professional enough that people trust you’re a real business
- Maybe a way for people to contact you or book something without playing phone tag
That’s it. No need to overthink it.
The Money Question
Look, I’m not going to pretend this stuff is free. But it also doesn’t have to cost a fortune.
The real question is: what makes sense for where you’re at right now? If you’re just getting started, you need something different than if you’ve been in business for ten years. If you’re a solo operation, you need something different than if you have a team.
There’s no one-size-fits-all, and anyone who tells you otherwise is probably trying to sell you something you don’t need.
Here’s How I Actually Work
I like to just… talk first. No pressure, no sales pitch, just a regular conversation about what’s going on with your business and what would actually help.
Sometimes people come to me thinking they need a whole website redesign, and it turns out they just need to update their Google listing. Sometimes it’s the other way around—they think they need something small, but we figure out together that a bit more would really make a difference.
The point is, I’m not here to sell you the most expensive package. I’m here to figure out what actually fits your situation.

If You’re Curious
I do FREE consultations, which basically just means we hop on a call and chat about:
- What’s working for you now (and what’s not)
- What you’ve been thinking about in terms of getting online
- What options might make sense for your business
- Real talk about what things cost and how long they take
No obligation to work with me. No weird follow-up emails. Just a conversation.
If it makes sense to work together, great. If not, at least you’ll have a clearer idea of what you might need.
You’ve Already Done the Hard Part
Building a business? That’s the real accomplishment. Getting online is just logistics.
If you want to chat about it, I’m around. If you want to keep thinking about it for another six months, that’s cool too. Whenever you’re ready.
Book a time here if you want to talk.
